1) What inspired the creation of smol cat, and how does its playful and "smol" persona reflect the project's overall vision? smol cat was launched by a dev that wasn’t from our team! He launched it on Pump.fun and sold at a pretty low market cap. A different CTO team helped run it from there, and then the current one took it over again after that. What we all had in common is that we loved the smol cat. So innocent and most importantly, smol. What was he doing there in that room on the floor? Why is no one around him? He’s so smol the picture is blurry. He’s a little bit of a mystery, and I think that adds to the allure. Because of how mysterious he is, and the unknown origins of the meme, I thought creating his origins would be a fun idea, and that’s how the animation series came to be. 2) Can you share more about the story of the community taking over the project and how the original developer’s FOMO played a role in this? When we launched it was still early Pump.fun days. Usually when the dev sold the coin was just… over. Now the meta is for the dev to “leave” and CTO happens right away. So when the dev sold his $smol bag, the coin tanked. A community takeover happened pretty quickly, and the coin started running back up. The dev then bought back in, creating even more fomo, until it eventually ran up to 1.8M market cap on the first day. 3) How do you ensure that the community remains at the heart of smol cat and is actively involved in its growth and decision-making processes? Community involvement is central to smol cat. We have regular AMAs (Ask Me Anything) sessions, where community members can directly ask questions and give suggestions.
