Believe in Something ($DTF) is a meme coin project launched on the layer-1 Solana network by its creator, MemeIndexer. 1)What inspired the creation of $DTF as a memecoin index concept, and how did the "Meme Buffet" idea come to life?

$DTF was born during Devcon 2024 in Thailand, inspired by the Reserve Protocol team's product launch announcement of Decentralized Token Folios in Q1 2025

$DTF was launched by MemeIndexer (who wishes to remain anonymous), a community member of Reserve Protocol. $DTF gained traction after Nevin, the co-founder of Reserve Protocol, discovered that MemeIndexer had launched $DTF. Nevin decided to ape in with 4 SOL—and the rest is history.

In pop culture, DTF stands for "Down To Fuck." However, we use it to represent a few different ideas:

- Down To Have Fun

- Down To "Fuck" around in the trenches

- Decentralized Token Folios

The $DTF concept was inspired by the Reserve Protocol. They plan to launch an index product platform that will allow users to curate a basket of tokens, enabling exposure to multiple tokens with just “one click.” $DTF is a playful marketing meme coin that will be included in the meme coin index launched on Reserve protocol.

The Meme Buffet concept was created as a humorous idea, playfully mocking Warren Buffett by portraying him as a pro-crypto character investing in meme coins, which often lack utility or intrinsic value.

2)The manifesto emphasizes "mindshare over fundamentals." How do you plan to measure and grow $DTF’s mindshare in the crypto space?

We will be launching a weekly DTF new summary of the funniest and most noteworthy events in the crypto space. It will feature

General crypto topics, such as Moonshot being recognized as the #1 DEX after gaining traction from listing Chill Guy, a token with significant momentum.
 • Down To "Fuck" Around in the Trenches

This has not been officially announced yet, except for $DTF being the first meme coin to be listed on the 21-coin meme index.

The community is the most important factor in the success of $DTF. We are building a strong culture and a cult of believers who share the core values outlined above. This community will play an active role in shaping the story, sharing, and reporting on funny or noteworthy news from the trenches or the broader crypto space. By doing so, we aim to create the most up-to-date and engaged community—a hub where Alpha is discovered and where members can suggest which meme coins should be added to or removed from the 21-coin meme index.

6)What steps have been taken to ensure the robustness and safety of $DTF’s smart contracts?

It’s a pumpfun contract on Solana, which is battle tested hacked and fixed. 

7)What are your long-term plans for $DTF and the Meme Buffet Index? Do you envision expanding beyond memecoins to include other asset classes, or introducing additional features like governance, staking, or community-driven coin selection in the future?

The long-term plan is to build a lasting cult-like community where members have fun, engage with one another, and share Alpha. On the product side, the goal is to play a role in creating indexes not only for meme coins but also for AI, RWA, DeFi, and GameFi coins, giving the $DTF community a voice in curating these indexes. Meme coins are meant to be fun and lack utility, and we want to honor that—adding utility defeats their purpose. That’s what altcoins are for.
