6 Questions to the AIVOICE Team
1) What inspired the creation of AIV and AI multi-voice technology? Was there a particular moment or challenge that led to the development of this idea?
We live in a world where an overwhelming amount of digital content is produced and consumed in real-time. From everyday content related to individuals' daily lives to news, social media posts, and the vast amounts of digital content that companies produce to promote their products and services—there is an endless flow of information. However, no matter how much digital content is made available through the internet to the public's phones, PCs, radios, etc., if it fails to capture the audience's attention, it is all in vain.
This realization led us to ask several questions: "How can we get people to focus on content? How can my content be effectively delivered to the public? How can we make consuming content enjoyable and engaging rather than dry and boring?" These questions and considerations were the starting point for everything we do at AIVOICE.
Our journey began in 2019, sparking the research and development of AI multi-voice systems. This led to the filing of related patents, marking the beginning of it all. At that time, the term 'AI' was quite unfamiliar to the general public. In fact, I recall it was a period when the popularization of smart homes, driven by the development of IoT (Internet of Things), was just beginning to take root. As we reflected on the era and the cycle of technological advancements, we concluded that the development of all forms of devices would eventually accelerate changes in daily life. At the heart of this shift would be voice services, the most intuitive form of biometric information.
2) AIV's multi-voice technology is unique in allowing users to listen to content in their own voice or someone else's voice. How did you overcome the technical challenges in developing this feature?
The core of AIVOICE (AIV)'s multi-voice technology is 'hyper-personalization.' We anticipated that the development of multimedia devices would lead to a focus on personalization, and that in the realm of content consumption, personalization would become a necessity, not an option.
The most crucial aspect of developing this technology was addressing 'security and privacy concerns.'
We recognized that security is an essential component of personalization. Through securing research and development funding, partly from government support, we were able to overcome these challenges by implementing various solutions. As for voice data, which is a form of personal information, we believed that mutual rewards through blockchain-based 'incentive systems' could effectively address these issues. Technologically speaking, the implementation of multi-voice services using AI voice technology did not pose significant challenges. Many AI big tech companies can already implement this technology.
What will be most crucial in the future is whether a company has the rights to conduct business related to this technology. The company that holds these rights will be in a strong position to grow into a global leader in the AI voice services sector.
3) The digital content market is vast and highly competitive. How does AIV plan to carve out a niche and make its technology and token popular?
Our technology is not a 'niche technology' designed to carve out a small segment of the digital content market. Rather, we see it as a core technology that can unify the digital content market, and we hold exclusive business rights based on our patents.
All digital content can be delivered as text, images, or voice, but ultimately, the key question will be whether the audience will "choose the content, consume the selected content, continue consuming the content, and remain loyal to a specific platform."
Our technology supports users in selecting and listening to all digital content in the voice of someone they prefer. This approach enhances the enjoyment and sustainability of content consumption.
We believe that AIVOICE will naturally become a part of daily life through the commercialization of its core 'hyper-personalization' technology. Our goal is to create an environment where you can listen to essays, fairy tales, novels, webtoons, and news in the voices of your favorite singers, actors, politicians, or even the voices of your loved ones, such as your spouse, children, and parents.
When considering whether to consume content in the form of rigid text displayed on a smartphone or PC screen, or to consume it in the voice of someone you like, it's easy to see which option would be more enjoyable, engaging, and sustainable.
As for how we plan to make the AIV token popular in the market, our answer is, "It's only a matter of time. Is a special plan really necessary?"
4) How does AIV's AI voice technology differ from other similar services in the market? Could you explain the unique patents held by AIV and how they protect your innovations?
According to our patent on multi-voice services, if a digital content platform (such as an AI voice platform or any other content provider) offers users the option to select a specific voice (whether AI-generated, celebrity, or the user's voice) and listen to content in that voice, the platform would be infringing on our patent rights.
In other words, whether the platform is an AI voice platform like OpenAI's ChatGPT or an internet news site, if it provides users with multiple voice options and allows them to choose a specific voice for consuming content, the platform must pay us patent royalties. This is where our competitive edge lies.
Moreover, we have secured patents for our multi-voice system technology in the United States, South Korea, and Japan. Our patent is a BM (Business Method) patent. In April 2023, we won the Gold Medal in the IT/SW category and the "Best International Invention & Innovation Award" from the National Research Council of Thailand at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, one of the "World's Top Three Invention Exhibitions."
The core of our patented technology lies in the "multi-voice system-based voice content distribution system for devices." At last year's International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, this technology was highly praised by Chief Judge TAJI David of DEBAN TRADING SA and a large panel of 85 experts as "the most innovative media technology and a representative technology for the future content market." Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, also stated, "Amid the high interest in the AI industry, voice-based technology has the potential to dominate in terms of usability and commercial viability. This patent is an excellent example of invention and innovation." This is the innovation we bring to the table.
5) What are the next steps in AIV's technology development and market expansion? How do you plan to scale the project?
Our next steps involve commercializing our patented technology through collaboration with global AI voice platforms or digital content platforms and introducing the AIV token to the market.
We aim for the AIV token to be used as a means of payment or reward whenever a user purchases specific content or a specific voice on various platforms.
Additionally, we are planning to build a "Human Library" service. We envision a future where, using various multimedia devices, people can easily access and preserve the voices they want to pass down to future generations, including their own.
We also hope that the AIV token will become an essential means of payment or reward throughout this process.
6) Understanding the Change in Content Consumption Methods
Most content has traditionally been delivered to the public in the form of text and images. Internet news is a prime example of this.
As a result, the primary way people consumed content was by reading. However, with the evolution of content delivery methods using images, the public also adopted "viewing" as a method of content consumption. Now, however, we have entered an era of listening to content, and we are at a point where the transition to a "listening era" is accelerating faster than the transition from reading and viewing.
At this juncture, we introduced a method that allows users to listen to content in a way that is desired, enjoyable, and satisfying, encouraging them to continue engaging with the content. This is why we foresee AIVOICE growing into a global company.
